NEUROFEEDBACK + BIOFEEDBACK

Services

ICS_Web_Icons_IMBS

We partnered with Integrative Mind and Body Services to offer neurofeedback and biofeedback sessions at our Millersburg location. These services can be helpful to people looking to supplement their current treatment, such as counseling and medication. Neurofeedback and biofeedback are also helpful for people who are not currently in treatment, but are looking to optimize their performance on a personal or professional level.

Specialized assessments such as physiological stress profiles and/or midline assessments are utilized prior to the start of treatment to provide a baseline understanding of an individual's response to stimuli. These assessments are also used to formulate an individualized treatment plan to meet each person's goals.

Performcare insurance is accepted for these services.

neuroicon

neurofeedback

is a form of therapy that uses non-invasive sensors attached to the scalp to monitor brainwave activity. During sessions, there are different types of feedback that can be used such as watching a video, listening to music/sounds, or playing a video game. The counselor monitors the brain activity and maps the client’s brainwaves against the ideal state the client is trying to achieve. Neurofeedback can challenge your brain to change unhelpful patterns and create flexibility and balance.

bioicon

biofeedback

is a form of therapy that uses non-invasive sensors attached to the skin to monitor physiological responses such as heart rate, blood pressure and muscle tension in response to certain stimuli. Biofeedback teaches you to change the way your body functions and reacts to stimuli to enhance your physical and mental health. It is often used to help patients manage anxiety, chronic pain and stress.
